A Question of Eagles is Melissa and Jonathan!
We’re a husband and wife team committed to making heirloom quality pottery for your home and table since 2012. We both grew up in the Midwest, but have lived all across the states from Oregon to New York to California. In 2020, we returned to our Midwestern roots and are headquartered in the SoBro neighborhood of Indianapolis. In 2022 we opened our first retail showroom & general store called Prairie General.
We are inspired by nature, our travels, the landscape and culture of the West, and studio pottery of the 60's and 70's. We believe in the transformative power that using handmade goods can have on our everyday life. We describe ourselves as Rustic Modernists, which for us means an interest in clean modern shapes with an earthy handmade bent. With backgrounds in fine art, we’re drawn to the sculptural qualities of ceramics, and through our functional designs see our work as an extension of our art practices.
